A very short book. It’s a attempt to not tell a story as much an attempt to focus on the discovery of the body of Mabel Douglas, the first dean of Douglas College (renamed from New Jersey College for Women in New Brunswick, NJ) who (drowned/committed suicide/was murdered) at lake Placid. I think the most interesting or morbid part of the story was the blowing up of the face when it touched the surface of the lake for the otherwise well preserved body when underwater. Also interesting was how other members of her family died. A quick short read which you may enjoy, I did.
